We arrived in OH on Tuesday, only to find our daughter had left the day
before to go to NC. It turned out that her car broke down, and she was
stranded there for a day. She has since returned home, and Thursday evening we met with
her and the 3 grandkids.
Since our Crystal wasn't home we drove to Kettering to a dear “old” friend,
Marsha. She took us out for dinner and we enjoyed getting reacquainted. Then we
managed to get several games in before retiring. She is an avid pianist and oil paint artist.
In the morning, we played a game of Scrabble before hitting
the road again. We drove to Hamilton, where one of Roger’s second cousins, Kathy, lives.
We hadn’t seen Kathy and Mike in 20+ years, so it was good to get caught up a little.
They fed us a scrumptious pork roast with baked sweet squash and salad.
All day Friday, Ellie, Kayden and Hunter have kept us busy. We have a great
place to park the R.V. across from where they live, in a police-guarded fenced
lot!
One final comment. We almost ran out of fresh water in our tank today. Somehow we forgot to check the level. We filled it tonight in the RV park. We also had to replace a leaky sewer dump hose. It's just life in an RV. Fun!(?)
