Before leaving New Brunswick and Canada, we drove to
Hartland. Heather remembers riding her bicycle to the potato chip factory
there and gathering a bag of “chip rejects” to strap on the back of her bike
and take home. We toured the factory (the reject barrels are no longer out
back), and enjoyed a free snack!
From there we drove to the world’s longest covered bridge.
After walking around a bit, we drove across. Click here to ride across with us in Miss Winnie (bug-filled windshield included at no charge).
Then, on the way to the highway, we stopped at the New Brunswick Bible Institute. Heather's dad taught there in the early '50s, before they went to Germany. Their bookstore is very nice – and we shopped! While
there, John Hoag came in. He’s currently on staff, and served as president
for many years. It was nice to get reacquainted with him.
After crossing into the U.S.A., (& gaining an hour!) we drove on to Palmyra, ME,
where we are spending the night in a lovely campground (missing the twins - oh, and Zeke!!).
