Sunday in Sneads Ferry

Scarlett likes to help – she has lots of advice!

I made cinnamon rolls as a “home” treat. Josh took some to work (he works all night at a Handy Mart.)

Our last day today was spent at church – Sunday School with a very dynamic teacher on the second temptation of Jesus. Church was followed by 4 testimonies of recovered alcoholic/drug users. We spent time in the playground there with Scarlett while Vicki and Jim attended a members' meeting.

In the afternoon I “supervised” Josh making sweet potato pie. He wanted to learn, and did well. Good thing he made 2 – with the neighbors and those that live with him in his house, we needed more than 1!

Scarlett and Josh are sleeping now – we’re planning on playing our Sunday traditional game of Scrabble.

Tomorrow it’s on to Raleigh to visit friends we met in Croatia while working on the ship Logos Hope.

Had a long visit with Vicki & heard her testimony. She has a passion to help others who struggle with the same issues she once did.
