Friday evening we attended a concert that was part of a
series of concerts that Lila goes to. We left during the intermission, as the music was
not much to any of our liking. However, if you like the music of Paul McCartney, you would have enjoyed hearing and seeing the "The McCartney Years".
I (Roger) remember enough of his recordings to know they are almost like the original. Again, just not along our current musical tastes.
Saturday we woke up to rain – but that didn’t keep us home!
We drove to the Amish Market – many wonderful items that they make and bake.
Lunch came from there – 3 different “rolled” sandwiches.
Late afternoon we drove out to see the deer roaming the fields and forests - that's when they come out of the woods. Lila calls it "deer hunting". Imagine - just a few
minutes outside of Annapolis and ½ hour from D.C. It’s been amazing to see how
rural it is so close to such a major city. The farmers complain that there are too many deer in their farm fields.
Lila feeds the birds, so we have seen a lot in her back yard – especially the
cardinals. I miss them out west!
Thanks for sharing, it's been wonderful to read your posts!
