We met Brian and Sarah at prayer meeting tonight. A year and a half ago their 22 year old son was killed serving his country in the army. They are going to D.C. to hear taps played over Memorial Day weekend. She was in tears asking for prayer to face this trip. I am writing this because I think we all need to remember the families of those who have fallen serving us. Our freedom is a direct gift from those whose blood has been spilled to help preserve our freedom. May we never forget it – and thank God for it.
