Northern Indiana has many Amish. We enjoyed watching their buggies drive by our friends’ house. Those horses are brave!!
This house in IN was to be a retirement place while our friends finished up business in West Chicago. However, while they were gone, the fridge ice maker leaked and did great damage to the house. The contractors are still working on it (since July); it’s been very discouraging. We hosted them in the R.V. for several meals before leaving for Pat and Patti’s house not too far away.
Patti and Heather became friends in Mr. Wolff’s chemistry class 55 years ago at Taylor University.
We sat in the back and giggled!! She lives with her husband beside the Tippecanoe River – beautiful setting.
They collect antiques and feed birds and squirrels!! We were happy to see a Mr. cardinal. Before we left, they took us to an Amish store, looking for cracklings. We didn’t find the kind we were looking for, but got some other great stuff!
On our way out of IN, we stopped at an outlet mall. Besides buying “treasures”, we had lunch in the sunshine. Then it was on to OH.
