Finally Departed

1st day from home to Roseburg, OR.

Beautiful weather for most of the day. However, for the last hour into Roseburg we had strong wind gusts and rain. This made for some difficult steering when strong side winds hit us. Miss Winnie is basically a potato chip delivery truck set up as a house, so when there are strong winds it's a little like a sailboat. Big trucks at least have weight to their advantage.

One highlight of the day was having a lumber train in the oncoming Lane on Market Street. I didn't get the camera out quickly enough to catch the oncoming vehicles being followed by a railroad engine.

We had our first home-cooked dinner in the motorhome. What a treat having cooking facilities and a comfortable place to eat.

We are "boondocking" tonight in Wal-Mart parking alongside several other RV'ers.
