We arrived at Child Evangelism Fellowship's headquarters on Labor Day and hooked up the R.V. Then we got our laundry done. They can use any amount of volunteer help, which we quickly noticed in the laundry facility! (This small building is just for R.V.ers to do laundry!)
We'll clean it a little at a time. Mice apparently like bar soap - evidence of them was everywhere!
Tuesday morning we reported for duty at housekeeping. All day we vacuumed, cleaned bathrooms and dusted. We got our 10,000+ steps in!! In exchange we eat lunch and dinner with them. The cooks are outstanding!!
Wednesdays are always chapel times. Today we heard 20 CMIers' (Children's Ministry Institute students') testimonies. How inspiring! Then we went out to the international flag plaza and prayed for about 9 countries/areas of the world.
The weather was cooler today, and after work Roger decided it was a good time to burn some of the twigs that the black walnut trees had shed all over (the walnut shells were all over, too, but the squirrels(?) got the nuts!).
I didn't have any marshmallows or hot dogs, so we wrapped 2 potatoes up and threw into the fire. Tomorrow we find out if they cooked!! I started writing post cards - it's a tradition to send each of my "kids" (clubbers) a card when I travel. Takes about 50 and cards are hard to find these days.
Roger discovered a salamander under his tool box, and a frog by the warm rocks. Missouri's a wild place...
