Note to our Readers: We decided to just add to last year's blog rather create a new one.
On our way heading east again, we stopped at Lazy F Ranch to
give a report on Tel-a-Story® to CEF leaders in Washington State. God is using and blessing this ministry, which
is amazing to us! Check out this link: 18888788660.com (or call 1-888-878-8660)
We drove as far as Haggen, MT, where we stopped for the
night. There’s a great place, if you are ever in the area, called Lincoln's $50,000 Silver Dollar Bar, Restaurant, motel, gas, etc. with free R.V. parking. We were
skeptical, but stopped to ask about it. And, yes, it is free parking. If you
get there in time, there are even sites with electricity! The snow banks were
about 4’ in height, but we were warm.
The next day we drove over more mountain passes (more than 6
total), to get to Hardin, MT. Most of the day weather was great and no traffic.
Wind hasn’t been an issue yet. Just a little rain, and one snowfall in the
mountains. Made a short stop at the 100,000 used books “museum”.
Saturday afternoon we ended up in Rapid City, SD, at our son
Alan’s place. Sunday we took Galina and the 2 kids to Sunday School and church
with us. They have van pick-up service, so we hope they will become regular
attendees. The church offers breakfast to those riding the van and also has a
school, which Zoey will be ready for in 2 years.
Sunday evening we returned for the evening service. It was
well attended, including many youth and kids. The music was inspiring and
uplifting – lots of different instruments, too!
Monday we had the tough job of babysitting Zoey, 3, and
Wyatt, 6 months, while their mother went to the dentist. The kids are so cute –
Zoey managed to get stuck in her folding lawn chair! Both kids are happy and
easy to be around.
Monday afternoon we headed east and south toward AR. We
spent the first night in Mitchell, SD, where the Corn Palace is. The second
night we spent in Harrisonville, MO, arriving in Salem, AR, on Wednesday
afternoon. We were grateful to be able to attend prayer meeting with daughter
Mary at the church that has faithfully made transportation available to her and
her friends for prayer meetings, Friday Bible study, and 2 Sunday services. It
was pouring rain and severe weather warnings. We waded through a deep puddle to
get to her trailer. (But the next morning all water was completely gone!)
